Council meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Council meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
The first annual Cochin Days event was held in August 1980. Rev. Fr. Andre Mercure presented his idea to the business and residential community. The goals Fr. Mercure helped us set were simple and appropriate for any small community:
1. To work together as a community.
2. To offer entertainment to residents and summer visitors.
3. To raise funds for community projects.
These are still our goals.
The traditional "Boat Parade" is held Saturday night, following the children's paddle boat parade. Boats are decorated with lights, and travel down Lehman Creek and onto Jackfish Lake.
Festivities include a Children's Bike Parade, a Sand Castle Competition, an Art Show and Sale, Adult Challenges, a Ball Tournament, a Sunday Pancake Breakfast, Saturday night Beer Garden, and much more. We hope you will join us for Cochin Days. It's a great opportunity to gather with new and old friends and have a fun-filled weekend.
